In the lead up to The Big Dog Walk, the awesome peeps at Pet Connect ran a competition to find this year's "Next Top Dog Model".The top hopefuls competed at the big dog walk in front of the judges and were judged on categories like being "camera ready" having an "x factor" as well as crowd support! The gorgeous Pixie took out the top spot at the Auckland walk, and then went on to be voted the overall winner for New Zealand woohoo!!
One of the prizes she won was a photoshoot in order to be featured in PetLife magazine. I was so super excited to photograph Pixie. I've had her in front of my camera once before in my mini studio at a market, but that doesn't compare to getting her out into a stunning setting and letting her strut her stuff. Not only is she a gorgeous wee boxer, but she is a natural poser in front of the camera which makes my job so fun and easy! I organised with her mum, Tania, to do the shoot at one of my favourite locations, Auckland Domain, and it was an absolute blast. Pixie got straight into her modelling zone, and even showed off some of her tricks (a couple of which I caught on camera!)
