Bruce's shoot at Bethells

Updated: Apr 17, 2019

I was recently approached by a Kiwi dog food company who will be launching their business later this year. They were after an image for their packaging which showed a dog in a truly Kiwi environment, rather than using a generic stock photo...so they called me! I had already done a photo session with Bruce (@brucies_gram) in 2017 and he is the most beautiful, happy dude, who is a PRO at modelling! He was just the perfect fit for this job!

It was a stunning Winter evening at Bethells Beach, and the warm colours of the sun set created some gorgeous light for the images. Bethells is my all time favourite location for photos. The landscape is so beautiful and so varied that there are endless photo opportunities to take advantage of. And as you can see from the photos below, if you are there at the right time on a clear day, the results are going to be beautiful! It was a constant struggle trying to keep Bruce out of the water until we were finished. He knew that going for a swim would be his ultimate reward at the end of the shoot for being such a good boy...and he most definitely deserved it for the photos he provided us!

Here is a little selection of some the images from the evening I spent with him...

I am so happy with the results and can't wait to reveal the image that is going to be used for the dog food packaging, ahh so exciting!

This article remind me my first pet's photo-shoot after his recovery from leptospiroisis and it was a one of most difficult moment for me to take care of him in illness http://diymobiletips.com/leptospirosis-in-dogs/. But we enjoyed a lot after recovery and did a photo-shoot also.
